This problem is occuring intermittently while I am listening to Pandora radio. It's distinct from the other reported bugs because it seems to be causing a general crash in other open apps as well, taking my instance of Calc with it and forcing me to recover my open spreadsheet every time it happens. it also crashes KeypassX, but does not seem to crash my text editor.
The machine in question has been previously a Feisty, Gutsy, Hardy, Intrepid, and Jaunty box, is now running Karmic RC. It has at least since Jaunty had flash problems, but I elected to remove all of the deprecated flash related packages when it asked me upon Karmic install. It's one of those $300 e-machines boxes sold at Tiger Direct, don't know the exact hardware or video specs.
Flash audio in Firefox would not work in Jaunty, attempts to play flash video would result in a Firefox forced quit or crash whenever I tried to browse away from the flash page. Had tried all the various flash "band aid" plug-ins, nonfree, etc...installed them, uninstalled them, never got browser based audio working, generally a royal pain in the ass. Flash audio worked right away with Karmic.
So more about the crashes, when this happens, the sound in Pandora will begin "sticking" and looping like an old CD with a scratch on it, then all FF instances vanish and so does Calc/KeypassX.
I'm a long time linux user and relatively short on time and light on debugging knowledge but if you email me I should be able to get you more information pretty quickly.

This bug is also accompanied by a temporary mouse freeze while the browser and apps are in the midst of crashing. I notice this same type of temporary mouse pointer interruption during a spreadsheet save in Calc.
