Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
While adding the attachment (an SVG that crashes Nautilus) to bug #438484 I noticed that it hangs Firefox as well. This is a symptom of a more general problem: trying to select a very large SVG as the contents of a File form field (e.g. Gmail attachment) results in long delays or outright hangs - it seems that firefox is trying to thumbnail or render the selected file. It definitely shouldn't do this, as I'm only uploading that file, not opening it!

Uncompress this SVG and try to select it as the contents of a file input field in a form (e.g. Gmail attachment). Effect: hang. This also happens with very large SVGs (you can generate one in Inkscape by creating a large clone tiling, preferably with blurred objects).
