Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

When using Firefox localized in Croatian, visiting self-signed https pages results with:

Greška XML obrade: nedefiniran entitet
Lokacija: jar:file:///usr/lib/firefox-3.5.3/chrome/browser.jar!/content/browser/certerror/aboutCertError.xhtml
Broj linije 241, Stupac 34: <p id="introContentP1">&certerror.introPara1;</p>
---------------------------------^

Translation:

Error parsing XML: undefined entity
Location:
Line number 241, column 34:

I've checked the source and if &brandShortName; is completely removed from /<email address hidden>/firefox-3.5-hr.jar!/locale/browser/aboutCertError.dtd, everything works. So, I guess that &brandShortName; isn't defined somwhere. In all other places &brandShortName; works without problems.

I've managed Firefox translation upstream and I'm not reporting this upstream cause if I use upstream's localized Firefox, there are no problems. This happens only in Ubuntu 9.10.

I have the same problem here, in ubuntu 9.10 (Linux lemming 2.6.31-10-generic #34-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 16 00:23:19 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux)

I'm italian and i'm using firefox as it comes from a fresh installation (i've only added a couple of addons, xmark and firebug)

if you need any further information, and you have some patience (i'm new to bug reporting), i can give you more detailed information

cheers

ps i found this bug trying to manage my netgear readynas so, please, fix it! :)

The same bug appears in the dutch version of Firefox. When running firefox without localization (LANG=C) the 'untrusted connection' warning appears as expected.
