Sorry, but perhaps I should clarify that I dd the complete update and upgrade as per your suggestion, and I rebooted afterwards. The flicker is very clearly still there after the reboot, and the policy output was also after the reboot. I'll try to respond quickly if you get another one, or have any suggestions. Sincerely, Xeno
