Bookmarks toolbar returns from the dead

The bookmarks toolbar is never, ever successfully disabled.
Steps:
View -> Toolbars -> Bookmarks Toolbar, ensure that it's unticked.
Bookmarks toolbar goes away.
Restart Firefox.
Bookmarks toolbar is back.

This may be related to the fact that I have no items on the bookmarks toolbar.

I was unable to reproduce this bug trying with an empty Bookmark Toolbar and a Bookmark Toolbar with items on it.

Is this still an issue for you with Firefox 2.0?

This is happening to me on Feisty H-2 running the default FF 2.0.0.1, though in my case the Bookmarks toolbar only comes back after I reboot the system. Restarting FF itself won't cause it to come back.

I tried reproducing this in Feisty with Firefox 2.0.0.1 and could not reproduce it their either. Again, I tried it with and with no items on my toolbar and restarting. Are you able to reproduce this all of time, or just sometimes?

Also, do you have any items in your bookmarks toolbar?

Is this still an issue for you? We are trying to trying sort out the older Mozilla issues and would like to know if this still happens.

This is still an issue for me. I installed the del.icio.us extension, and then removed all of my bookmark toolbar items, Right-clicked the toolbar, selected Customize, and removed the Bookmarks Toolbar item. I also right-clicked and uncheck the Bookmark Toolbar. It appears on an FF restart in Feisty's Firefox 2.0.0.3.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

I believe this has been solved since a Firefox upgrade in Feisty. Definitely fixed in Gutsy, Hardy, Intrepid. This report may be closed or marked fixed. It's certainly been long enough.
