Firefox switched to english after using safe-mode

I used firefox -safe-mode, started in safe-mode, and now back in normal mode firefox remains in english.

Ubuntu 9.04
firefox: 3.0.15+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1
language-support-fr: 1:8.10+20080703
language-support-translations-fr: 1:9.04+20090401

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. You need language-pack-fr-base to have Firefox working in French. Do you have that installed?

I have tested this on Karmic and everythings look ok.

This is what i did

$ echo $LANG
ro_RO.UTF-8

Start Firefox in safe mode

$ firefox -safe-mode

Firefox starts in safe mode with English text.

I then closed firefox and start it again in normal mode

$ firefox
Firefox starts with Romanian text.

Pierre, let us know if you are still experiencing this problem.

could you check (if is possible) in latest version included in Karmic (like @Adi said) if this issue is still happening? Thanks in advance.

Still not in karmic because of low disk space.

I didn't success in putting back firefox in french.
Trying removing and reinstalling language-support-fr, language-support-translations-fr, language-pack-fr-base or firefox.
Tried with an empty profile (hiding .mozilla/firefox).

Just upgraded to karmic.
Firefox is back in french (i see there is a add-on for the translation).
No problem after using the safe-mode.
Bug closed.
