Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
I'm using Ubuntu 9.04
I'm running a local Java applet which needs file read access to a jpg file.
I granted file read permission via both java.policy files.
If I run Firefox from a terminal window the java applet runs OK.
If I run Firefox from an Applications menu, from a panel icon or from a Bookmark I get a file permission error. The file permission error is for the above mentioned jpg file.
If run the applet (via Firefox) from a terminal window I can shut down the applet and reload the applet via a bookmark and the applet runs OK (assuming Firefox is not shut down) but I cannot run a similar java applet that needs file read access to a jpg file with the same name (but in a different directory). The similar java applet runs OK if it is launched from a terminal window.
