Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex
Flash Player 10
I have various .swf files saved from around the net.. Animations, videos, games, etc. Most of them play fine, however, a few animations react differently when opened in Firefox from my local drive. If the animation contains graphics that scroll onto the flash player, I can see the background of the animation filling the rest of the browser window. It will scroll and play normally, but it's not the way the creator intended. (Maybe it's the creator's fault? I only dabbled in flash some years ago, not sure)
Also, with one particular file the sound track seems to load twice, giving an echo. Right-clicking the flash player and deselecting 'play' stops the video and one of the audio tracks, meaning the audio is now playing normally, even though the animation is actually stopped.
These files used to open fine in Firefox. It might be the Flash Player 10 update, or it might be the way Firefox handles .swf files.. Just reporting so you can check into it.
