Address bar does not refresh

Bug Description
Brand new install of Jaunty Netbook Remix (image downloaded on April 22nd).
Firefox address bar does not update/refresh. Here are some of the behaviors:
1- Type in a search on the built-in search
Result: Search result is displayed, however address bar is blank
2- Click on a link from the search result above
Result: New page is displayed, address bar is still blank
3- Type in an address (google.com)
Result: Google.com is displayed and address bar displays "google.com"
4- Click on a link from "google.com"
Result: The address bar does not update the new URL ("google.com" is still displayed) however the clicked link opens.

Update:
I am able to temporarily solve the problem by removing the address bar (View=> Toolbar= >Customize) and then re-adding it. However I get the following error when I open Firefox again:
