Firefox fails to save book marks!

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

If I save bookmarks/organize them or bookmark all tabs, then save and exit the session, the bookmarks are not present when I restart firefox.

Same here.

However, it seems to work when you manually backup your bookmarks by Bookmarks => Organize Bookmarks... => Import and Backup => Backup... and save the ".json" file somewhere.

I noticed that the .json stored in "bookmarkbackups" has the same time stamp

My version is 3.0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.2 in Hardy Heron.

I followed the instructions on

and it worked for me.
