The bug exists on my Acer Aspire One when I work with the Firefox 3.0.8. It's very often.

Steve your problem is possibly i separate issue than his since his was fixed and yours isn't also you version of Firefox is not up to date.
Before filing a separate bug please update to 3.0.10 than test if it still happens file a new bug report.
