Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs? Also, please answer these questions:
Is this crash reproducible? If so, which are the steps that lead to it?
Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which Firefox extensions do you have installed?

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

First of all, the backtrace was done but unfortunately the debugging
symbols for the installed version of Firefox (3.0.6) and Xulrunner
(1.9.06) weren't available. The results can be found in the attached
file gdb-firefox.txt.

The bug is reproducable, however it occurs in a secured area of the
website of a bank (Rabobank). So to reproduce it, one should have an
account for 'Internetbankieren' at the Rabobank.

It can be reproduced by entering this secured area and creating one or
more payment orders. If these are completed they have to be sent to the
bank using the website which can bee seen in the attached screenshot
(screenshot.png). In this page some codes have to be entered and finally
the payment orders are sent to the bank by clicking the
'Verzenden'-button. After doing this, the Firefox window closes.
In the attached file 'qslo.htm' you will find the HTML-code for this page.

If Firefox is restarted and you choose to restore the previous session,
you can log onto the secured area of the website again. The payment
orders are processed correctly by the bank.

Ok, thank you very very much for the information and the feedback! I'll mark this one as confirmed as there are enough details for a developer to start debugging. Additionally, I'm on i386 and not on amd64.

After upgrading to Ubuntu 9.04 and trying for a couple of weeks, this
bug doesn't appear anymore.

As far as I'm concerned this one can be closed.
