Firefox can't remember hotmail password

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

i noticed that when i open my hotmail account with firefox 3.0.5 i select the option to remember the password from the website, i insert the password, i check my mail, but the next time i want to check my mail the password isn't remembered and i have to re-enter it. i use ubuntu 8.10

I would guess this is due to the unusual UI of the page itself. I suppose this is a bug, but I would imagine not an easy one to fix. If it were up to me, I'd mark this as Won't Fix because I imagine it would require a lot of work... and then M$ would go and change the style of the page to break the update etc.

What does everyone else think?

However, according to this bug report, you are not using the most recent version of this package for your Ubuntu release.
