mplayerplug-in doesnt' work properly

I have a lot fo problems in buffering audio media on one site. In the past version of firefox the xine plug-in worked perfectly and quickly, the mplayerplug-in gives me a lot of trouble.

I'm using the linux 8.04, and i have this problem since i use the new firefox.

Have you tried Swfdec-mozilla and Totem instead of mplayer?
