Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox
On 64-bit Ubuntu 8.10/Intrepid, Firefox hangs for extended periods when using iPaper on scribd. It appears to be related to the use of Javascript with the flash plugin. However, KDE4's Konqueror works fine using the same flash plugin as Firefox.
To reproduce:
0. Load firefox
1. Visit http://
2. If the page loads successfully, try moving backward and forward through the iPaper document's pages
3. If that doesn't cause Firefox to hang, open the iPaper menu at the top-left of the document box in the center of the page
4. At some point between steps 1-3, Firefox will hang (and "gray out" if Compiz is enabled).
Eventually, the document (and flash applet) will disappear (replaced by a gray rectangle), and Firefox will begin responding again.
