Firefox search bar points to wrong language wikipedia

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

In the address bar, the window to quickly search with engines like google, ebay etc. points to Wikipedia(en) instead of Wikipedia(it) even if I'm using the the Italian version of Firefox. It is not possibile to download a different search engine or I don't know how to modify the existing search engine. It could be useful to see the existing 'parola chiave' (keyword) of Wikipedia(en) in order to modify it to point to the Italian version.

same for my nl(dutch) version of firefox. Default points to wikipedia (en).

anyway, you can edit the search plugins by changing the files in
/usr/lib/firefox-addons/searchplugins

there should be a wikipedia.xml file which you (as root) can change.

i've attached a wikipedia_it.xml file which worked for me when i put it in my:
~/.mozilla/firefox/eokvqu1h.default/searchplugins folder.

I just want to confirm that the file works fine with the Italian
version. Maybe it could be a good idea to use it for the Italian (next)
release. Mmmm... I' unsure whether I had to submit this directly to you
