Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
This happens when I try to use the browser after I've A) installed updated, B) just seen the tool top that said I must reboot, and C) ignored the tooltip and didnt reboot.
On Windows I never get crashes like this and I never reboot directly instead I keep using the machine until the end of the day and then I turn it off as usual. Rebooting after updates is really annoying so it would be a big win if Ubuntu worked like Windows does where it recommends that you reboot but in reality you don't really NEED to.
The key to implementing this is that Windows installs critical low-level updates on shutdown/bootup instead of directly. Firefox seems extremely crash prone if certain system components or browser components are updated in ubuntu.
