JavaScript calendar selection fails

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

In Firefox 2 the javascript calendar worked good but not in Firefox 3.
I retrieved the source code of the calendar to better describe the bug:
Go to the page http://www.witek.fr/firefox3_bug
and try to select the date 24th of July 1998 for example. It's possible with Firefox < 3 and Internet Explorer but not with Firefox 3. When months and years menus clicked, the whole calendar disappears in Firefox 3.

This is really annoying. It's not possible to use web based databases on witch this standard calendar is present.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

Hi Pedro,

I'm not surprised that there is no activity in it because most people
are using IE in office and not every body is using this kind of
javascript calendar.
I posted more topics in the past before and each time a had the
impression that people were not reading them carefully. In this bug, I
did not furnish any technical explanation, I did better, I added a link
pointed directly to the calendar that a prepared so every body could see
by themselves and understand quickly the bug. But even you, you ask me
if the bug resolved. Just click on the link and see by your self. The
bug is platform independent (all versions of Ubuntu, windows...). It
just occurs on Firefox 3.

If the bug has nothing to do with this bugs lunchpad because there are
no developers from mozilla, just let me know, I won't write such topics
any more.

Thank you for your help anyway.

I tried to reproduce this problem using Karmic and Firefox 3.5.6 and I can confirm this issue is still occurring but I am not sure if is a ff problem, any way I will mark this report as confirmed. Additionally, using google chromium works fine.
