Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

1. In a live CD for a development version of Ubuntu, start Firefox.

What you should see: "Welcome to Ubuntu <codename for development version>".
What you actually see: "Welcome to Ubuntu <version number for previous release>".

This could be fixed by having a version of the start page for each development version as well as for each release. For example:
http://start.ubuntu.com/8.04
http://start.ubuntu.com/intrepid
http://start.ubuntu.com/8.10
http://start.ubuntu.com/j...
http://start.ubuntu.com/9.04
etc.

Problem occurs with:
* Ubuntu Intrepid daily live, 2008-09-04 ("Welcome to Ubuntu 8.04 LTS!")

This was fixed a while ago. This is normally one of the last things to get changed on dev cycles.

Changed in firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu):
