Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
OK i use Firefox 3.0.1 in Ubuntu 8.04 / Gnome 2.22.3
I can not save/copy a picture per drag and drop from my browser into a folder, desktop nor program.
What i get is a link to the file. But i need the actual image in *.jpg for example.
I seach the web and have been on many different websites.
Some people say they could do in before in FF2.0 and not anymore in FF3.0 - Others say that the bug has already been fixed for my version, but it is obviously NOT! I also search in the <about:config> with no result.
this is my first bug report - hope i handed all the right information.
Its very annoying that you have to save images per right-click > save as ...

I am confirming this bug. I did not have this issue with Firefox 3.0, but with 3.0.1, it does just create a link to the online URL of the file instead of downloading the file.
