Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When viewing a site, such as google.com, the google image is choppy/blocky. This occurs on other websites as well with jpeg's, bmp's, and png's. The detail is terrible. However, when I right-click and view the image separately, there is no problem. It's crystal clear.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

Yes, this is still an issue.

I am still using Ubuntu 8.04. I tried upgrading to Intrepid Ibex and my system crashed, so I reverted to HH. I upgraded Firefox, however - now running 3.0,5.
