Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When I open a web page in full screen mode, for every mouse action the entire screen flashes. If I right click on the page then the entire screen goes blank and within a fraction of second comes back. The page rendering is not so smooth as in the normal screen mode. If I open a page in normal screen mode, I get the rendering smooth, but in full screen the page blinks.

The screen also sort of warps or something in white with some blue and red stripes then corrects itself whenever a new page is opened in full screen mode.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

I have same problem when browsing in fullscreen mode. My Firefox version is now 3.0.5 and I'm using Ubuntu 8.04. Screen flashes not only when context menu shows up but also when I mouse over some object and this 'little description text' shows up. I don't know exact term for this description text so I've made screenshot of it.

This sounds more like a graphics driver or compiz issue. Can you confirm if this is a problem in 10.10 please? Thank you.
