Hello,

The reason is due to a corrupt flash cookie. The flash cookies are global to a user profile. OS profile that is. Which means, multiple browsers under the same OS account will not solve the problem. You have 2 options. You can create a new user account, maybe run under sudo to call up an root level browser profile, or simply launch Adobe Flash manager <http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html> and clear your BofA website (or for good measure clear all Flash cookie websites). Restart your browser and you should be all set.

Hope this helps! I will copy this post to the Ubuntu thread as well.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

I am experiencing this issue consistently on Hardy using Firefox 3, Opera and Epiphany. I have attempted both solutions mentioned above to no avail; specifically running clearing my flash cookie for BofA and running firefox under sudo.

I am willing to provide whatever information I can to help solve the issue, if you can ask specifically what you need.

I can confirm this issue still exists in 11.04, login field will not populate correctly when trying to enter Username credential. Tried in firefox, chrome and also tried loging in using a virtualized (virtualbox 4.1) windows 7 using IE 9, chrome and firefox, same issue.

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Presumably this problem was a one time occurrence and/or is no longer an issue? Can the bug report now be closed? If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.
