After using the extension Prism to create a desktop shortcut, clicking on the shortcut should open a Prism style window.
Instead clicking on the shortcut opened a normal Firefox browser showing the home page.
Using Prism extension 0.2
This bug was reported to Mozilla and the bug report says that there may be a "build configuration issue" with Ubuntu's Firefox and that the -app flag may not not working properly.

I confirm this bug. The Prism Extension v0.2 is practically unusable on Linux because of it. I have FF 3 Beta 5 on Ubuntu 8.04.
