ff3 will not install firebug 1.2

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

The firefox addon site reports the v1.2 of firebug addon works with firefox 3. However, firefox does not attempt the installation claming that firebug 1.2 is not compatible with firefox 3. The authors of firebug claim it is indeed compatible and tested.

Hi Randy, thanks for using Ubuntu and taking the time to file a bug report! It looks like you are using an outdated version of Firefox 3, which might be causing this issue. Can you update by either using Ubuntu's graphical updater, or running "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade" from a terminal, to get the latest version of firefox. Then make sure to restart firefox, try again, and report bank. Thanks!

Are you still experiencing this problem? I have no incompatibilities between FF3 in up-to-date Hardy and Firebug 1.2.0a21X
