Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

In Hardy with hardy-updates enabled, firefox has two menu entries, one labelled "Firefox Web Browser" and the other labelled "Firefox 2 Web Browser".

Fortunately, launching either of them opens Firefox 3 :)

Thanks for reporting this bug. Can you check if you have firefox-2.0 installed? (apt-cache policy firefox-2)

Also did you update to hardy from a previous version of ubuntu or it was a clean installation?

It is likely that the menu entry for firefox 2 was not removed during the uninstallation.

Thanks in advance.

Please ignore the previous comment. That was a careless mistake of mine. Sorry for the bug noise.

firefox-2 is installed. This was a clean installation of hardy, which I updated using update-manager in the usual way.

This has been fixed for a while. If you still see this make sure its not an extension(s)
