Firefox 3 experiences sporadic scrolling and has trouble staying scrolled to a particular spot.

firefox cannot stay scrolled half way down a page. and scrolls sporadically until it rests at the very top or very bottom of the page. this is firefox 3 beta 5

What sites ar eyou seeing this on as i am unable to reproduce this bug in any version of firefox on hardy. can you please give a couple of pages that you see this on some with some without flash content so i can rule things out.

Every site I am on including this forum, I am experiencing the error on. Myspace, Prowrestling.net, demonoid, opieandanthony.com, and several otheres.

Please try to disable your extensions in Tools -> Addons dialog. Let
us know in case you find an extension causing this.

I also experience this - even after disabling all my extensions.

I currently have version 3.0.3+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 installed.

I am seeing this on every website more than a couple of page lengths. At the top of the page, one page-down works and then scrolling stops working.

If I click to focus on the page instead of the scrollbar, then I get a cursor on the page and it moves slowly down the page when trying to scroll.

Oh, thank god. Someone found out the problem. We are somehow all in "caret mode" and so it is treating the page as a text document instead of as a rendered document.

Hit F7 (on Linux at least) to switch back, and now scrolling works it should again.
