Firefox-3 input problem (^ in password box)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Firefox does not accept a ^ char in a input field of type password. Please try the attached small test php example with input "2^2".

is not an issue for me anymore with FireFox 3.0.1 in Intrepid. Therefore
