This bug was fixed in the package firefox-3.0 - 3.0~b3+nobinonly-0ubuntu3

firefox-3.0 (3.0~b3+nobinonly-0ubuntu3) hardy; urgency=low

  * introduce transitional dummy package for firefox-libthai => firefox-3.0
    (thai line break is now done by pango) (LP: #193542)
    - update debian/control
  * ship firefox.desktop again to not break existing launchers (LP: #193902)
    - update debian/rules

I'm running Hardy amd64 (core2 duo) daily-live 2008-02-24 and have not yet had a problem with the Evolution launcher.
