constant HDD access in some webpages

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I'm running firefox-3.0 3.0~b3~cvs20080101t1000+nobinonly-0ubntu in ubuntu Hardy, I've installed iotop.py, an utility that watches the Hard disk accesses, and I noticed that when visiting some "heavy" sites, firefox (and epiphany) are accessing the HDD every 4-5 seconds.
site examples:
www.youtube.com
www.gmail.com (after the login)

in the contrary launchpad.net does not have any HDD activity.

The only addon that I've installed is the flash plugin

could you gather some information which files are accessed?

Can you help me in doing this? I don't know how to figure out ehich
file is accessed. Thanks
