When I updated version 19.04 to 19.10, there was no such problem. But after a clean install of 19.10, filezilla starts with a delay.

I have the same problem. I have also measured that it takes exactly 25 seconds to start FileZilla, and the problem appears on every startup.

I have attached the output of strace filezilla.

I will attempt to attach apport data.

I'm having the exact same problem with filezilla and also with Cisco AnyConnect client. Worth notice that if I open both programs using root permissions they open immediately.

Just figured out that in my case `sudo apt install appmenu-gtk2-module` did the trick. (Thanks to Stefan Lancu https://askubuntu.com/questions/1184774/some-applications-on-ubuntu-19-10-very-slow-to-start)

I can confirm that installing `appmenu-gtk2-module` solves this problem.

Hi all,

Does this issue still exist in newer supported versions of Ubuntu?

According to my observations in Ubuntu 22.04 and in Ubuntu 23.10 I have not had any cases of delayed start.
