I'm using Unity 7 on 18.04, that might be the cause of the problem.

I am using Ubuntu Mate 18.04 Beta, not Unity. Everything else seem to be the same.

I'm using flatpak not deb version

If you have same issue you can try flatpak version of filezilla

Setting this to fix released as wxwidgets3.0 3.0.4+dfsg-3 with the upstream fix was published into Bionic on 2018-03-29. The duplicates seem to have stopped in March so this seems to confirm it.
