Bug Description

Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS

dell inspiron 15
pentium cpu 2117U @ 1.8 GHz x2 (64-bit)

until now i couldn't reproduce the crash but something i've been noticing every time i boot after a crash, i see the notification for new updates available!
i have been updating for a long time but the problem still remains for almost a year now.
i am not sure if it's something relevant with the system crashes i get now when i am uploading with filezilla. of course my bigest concern is not the system's crashes from filezilla because it seems that "bareftp" does go well.

when i get these crashes nothing works and i can only boot by pressing the on/off button.

hey guys,

i have noticed that frequent crashes happen when i have nautilus open at the same time.
using gimp or xampp or as i had already mentioned filezilla.
i could say that crashes often happen when nautilus is opened in the specific file that i work any of the above mentioned software on.
to explain better, if i have nautilus opened in "/fotos" and the same time i work "gimp" on a foto from the file "/fotos" i will get the system crash.

i hope someone can help me here guys

thanks

hey guys,

i've managed to find a way to reproduce the bag!

i open "gimp" and try to "save as" a pic.
then i try(scroll) the picture quality bar with the "preview" on and that's how everything crashes and i have to hardboot!

any help please?

kwstas tsob,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and FileZilla since that time. Your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.

It would help us a lot if you could test on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once in a terminal:

apport-collect <bug #>

and add any additional information that you think relevant. Alternatively, please confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can the report. If we do not hear from you this bug report will automatically expire in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.
