No easy way to enable rar-support

When trying to unarchive an rar-archive from nautilus right-click menu i only get the message "Archive type not supported.". Instead Nautilus should provide me with an easy option to install rar-support when trying to unpack a rar-archive.

My Ubuntu:
    Ubuntu Linux 9.04 - Jaunty Jackalope

My nautilus:
    1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 (from jaunty-updates)

What I expected to happen:
    Get an easy option to install the needed packages (see attachment).

What happened instead:
    Nothing, the only available option was "Ok".

How about this:

sudo apt-get install unrar-free

I think that this could be inserted in the "100 papercuts" list: obviously is not a bug, rar support is available in the repos and works like a charm, but it's not immediate to new users how to get it, so Linus is suggesting a behaviour as with mp3 files.

I would take it as a suggestion, and also as a good one.

Thank you for taking the time to make Ubuntu better.

You need to install the package "unrar" to be able to unpack RAR archives.

I agree it would be nice to have an option to automatically install missing archive handling programs like we have it for multimedia codecs.

I knew about the unrar package but I thought that the right thing to do was to submit a bug since most users won't have a clue what to do. I stand corrected and will submit this to Ubuntu Brainstorm instead; sorry for the trouble.
