Bug Description

When extracting a ZIP archive (such as a WordPress theme) to an FTP server on Ubuntu 8.10, File Roller returns that I don't have permission to do so. This means that I have to extract it to a local directory and then move it to the server using Nautilus. It should be able to directly upload to the FTP server.

as per bug http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=563208 it says that this should work ok with Jaunty, I've tried to reproduce it and it doesn't work as expected: no error message is throw to the user it says that the extraction was successful but if you look to the user directory no file is created there and instead on the console you get the following error:

"(file-roller:14753): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_file_new_for_uri: assertion `uri != NULL' failed"

I'll have a look upstream, Thanks for reporting darkweasel.
