create archive big files, then cancel, tar continues

Bug Description

cancellation of archive creation on big files does not work.

here is how to reproduce:

take collection of big files, or files which are big in total size, say 1-2 Gig. or more

right click on directory,
click create archive,

then, click cancel,

here problem is:
even i cancel the archive job,
file-roller or tar remains unterminated in system,
may be visible by ps -ef or top command on command line..

i use hardy 8.04
on my laptop hp nc8230

root@bvidinli-laptop:/home# uname -a
Linux bvidinli-laptop 2.6.24-17-generic #1 SMP Thu May 1 14:31:33 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

thank you for your bug report, http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=520844 upstream is similar and indicates that the issue is fixed in the intrepid version now
