Bug Description

if u extract the content of the archive i send attached using the comand line
(file roller behaves in a very strnage way...) and then compress the directory u
had extracted using the nautilus context menu, the archive created will be
incomplete, not incuding the .doc that existed in the directory...

I'm using warty with Portuguese Locale . now i'm discovering that in some
applications (gnome-terminal) the special characters aren't displayed correctly,
and in others, there's no compatibility betwen the character encodings... The
characters i'm refering to are çãêõâ. I don't know if i should expect all the
applications to be configured for the same character encoding, even though, i
think this should happend at least in the main repository applications...

Note: the character encoding i'm now using in my browser (iu have installed it
manualy) it's utf-8. i don't know wich is the rest of the system using, but i
think it's probably iso-8859-1.

another note: i was unable to repruduce the first comment on this error report...

right, I get the issue too while using an non-UTF-8 locale. That's fixed in
hoary with the switch to UTF-8, bug closed.
