Then it shouldn't be suggested by jockey to be installed

It looks like this laptop has two graphics cards installed (hybrid graphics?), and that you've installed fglrx but are booting with the Intel chip as primary. However fglrx installs a different GLX library than intel uses, which can cause failures on Intel with 3D programs.

Try going into your bios and switching off the Intel graphics, and then try fglrx.

Why I need to switch something in bios, when everything must work by the support of fglrx drivers? This is a bug and unsupported hardware, wich can be supported - http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9839833&postcount=3 - there is some workaround about hybrid graphics for my laptop, but loading & compiling kernel modules is not a ubuntu way.

although, eMachines notebooks are provided with Linux.

My bios is extremely simplified and theres no such option to choose which card to use.
Anyway isn't supposed fglrx to have support for switchable graphics? http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=OTI3MQ

@Sérgio, I haven't seen any announcements from AMD that it supports hybrid graphics in general, just that (admittedly intriguing) speculation on the phoronix blog.

Since hybrid graphics in general is incompletely implemented and still rather buggy in the corner cases where it does work, we're not yet accepting hybrid graphics functionality as a supported feature in Ubuntu. We try to ensure at least X doesn't crash when booted on such systems but there is still too much for it to be done to work as smoothly as Ubuntu users expect.

I agree with your comment #3 that hardware configurations like this should stay with Intel graphics and not offer fglrx to be installed until hybrid graphics switching is better supported. Or, jockey should offer to switch off the Intel chip for the user.

For more information see:
  http://askubuntu.com/questions/15694/how-do-i-disable-intel-graphics-in-a-hybrid-graphics-setup
  http://askubuntu.com/questions/2419/switching-between-graphics-cards

I will close out the -fglrx task at this point, so the bug will focus on the smaller issue of jockey needing to recognize systems with hybrid graphics. The larger issue of needing hybrid graphics support is pretty widely known.

I tripped on the issue of unity-support-test failing on my Natty 11.04 running X(vnc4server) on a Xen domu. Nothing fatal for myself, as I do not want 3D support, but might a useful way to reproduce.
