Bug Description

Install ubuntu-10.10 and fglrx on a amd64 desktop with an AMD GPU. Say apt-get install digikam, run digicam and point it at a folder with more than 16 or so images. In this case it's a AMD Radeon 5770 with 1GB ram.

Sweep out/select more than 16 of the thumbnails and fglrx will crash, logging you out.

I tried digicam 1.4 (stock in 10.10), 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0 beta with the same result.

I also tried upgrading the stock Catalyst driver to 11.2 directly from HD. No change.

I tried it on a different 10.10 desktop with an nvidia card, works fine.

Here's the snippets X/Fglrx log of the crash, link to the full logs below:

The complete log is at:
http://broadley.org/Xorg.5.log

With the updated driver it's at:
http://broadley.org/Xorg.0.log

I'll happily report this upstream if anyone can point me in the right direction. I searched the AMD support pages and knowledge base pages without luck.
