Bug Description

I installed fglrx driver on my desktop by using System->Administration->Hardware Drivers. The installation went well. At reboot i had a window with this error:

(EE) Can't load FireGL DRM library (libfglrxdrm.so)
(EE) fglrx: Failed to load module "fglrxdrm" (module does not exist, 0)
(EE) fglrx(0): Failed to load DRM library
(EE) fglrx(0): Preint failed
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

Luckily I can use low graphic mode.
First time (yesterday) i got this error I removed the drivers using System->Administration->Hardware Drivers and at the reboot it was ok with radeon drivers.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 64bit with kernel 2.6.32-27-generic. The vga is an ATI Radeon HD4670.
I attach xorg.0.log.

Same issue here, on a 10.10 64 bit kubuntu install with a radeon 4350.

Scratch that, on my system the module exists. I think it might be a x86-64 related problem, so I'm going to try a 32 bit install.

Changed in fglrx-installer (Ubuntu):

Just a comment on my error, with the same error message but on other version. I installed fglrx from oneiric and forgot to upgrade xserver-xorg-core from natty to oneiric. Upgrading xserver-xorg-core fixed my problem.
apt-get -duy -t oneiric install xserver-xorg-core

Same problem with an MSI R3650 (HD3650).
I'm using the ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates because a previous error, now fixed with this ppa.
I'm unable to use the graphics card (pci-e) and i'm trying to configure it using an agp card.
