Bug Description

After suspend / resume, screen is blank. The video card in this machine is "M92 LP [Mobility Radeon HD 4300 Series]" and I think the fglrx driver doesn't recognize this (see attached Xorg.0.log).

I found the solution was to add a file: /etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules containing:

  SUSPEND_MODULES="fglrx"

I hope the fglrx-installer package can add this automatically in future.

Hey Matthew,

Hi, have you had a chance to test if this bug is still present in natty?

If it does (and if you're the original reporter), please boot into natty
and run the command:

  apport-collect <bug-number>

which will update the bug with fresh logs and tag the bug as affecting
natty. (It is best to run this right after reproducing the problem.)

We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to reopen with the requested information. The issue still exists. I've tested with the stock Natty kernel and supplied FGLRX, and I've also updated to a self-compiled kernel (doing make localmodconfig) and updated to the latest version of FGLRX directly from ATI's site. Issue exists in all permutations and combinations of the kernel and fglrx version.
