Bug Description
10.10 RC AMD64.
Running on VAIO VGN-FW373J.
Installing the ATI/AMD Proprietary FGLRX graphics Driver causes Suspend and Resume failure. Attempting to resume will sometimes cause the system restart.
Also, initial splash screen resolution problems continue (also noticeable in 10.04). There is already a BUG related to this *latter* issue - sorry I don't know which one.
I have uninstalled the driver (as I did with 10.04)

Update & Correction:
This bug seems to be independent of the Video Driver.
Removing the Video Driver didn't resolve the problem. Maybe this is a regression with 10.10? Whenever the laptop suspends, resume results in failure, The system restarts to recover.
With 10.04, I could safely Suspend though Hibernating did not function.
I haven't tried hibernating yet, but will.
