Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde

Turning off Desktop Effects with Kubuntu Maverick causes 3D applications such as bzflag or glxgears to display a black square instead of graphics, and Xorg's CPU usage to jump to 100%.

I'm using the proprietary ATI driver, so it would be great if someone could test this with another driver.

Doesn't happen on Intel. Most likely a driver bug.

affects: meta-kde (Ubuntu) → fglrx-installer (Ubuntu)
