Graphics corruption using sideport memory

Bug Description

When using only the sideport memory with a ATI HD 3300 there are small corruptions in the graphics around window borders. Windows that have moving content (scrolling lines in terminal or videos) give more corruption. It looks just like horizontal lines of pixels offset. When sideport+uma is enabled there are no corruptions.

Ubuntu 10.04 Daily from March 28
fglrx installed using apt and aticonfig --initial

This might be fixed upstream in kernel 2.6.35-rc4. From the changelog:

@DLHDavidLH - are you using the open-source Radeon driver or the ATI fglrx (Catalyst) driver? I realise now that my comment #2 does not apply to the original reporter as they are using the fglrx driver.

i tried both . . . . .

open-source Radeon driver (was the worst).........ATI fglrx (Catalyst) driver ( was a little better ).......

the one from Ati is good for 3D
