description |
I installed Ibex and updated everything. Then installed the ATI drivers from the repository. I did the aticonfig -initial - f command but it complained that I didn't have an xorg.conf. Even though I did I still rebuilt it with sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg (which I found in an Ubuntu forum) and sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg which I found in one of the logs.
It won't boot into anything but low resolution and at the bottom of the log is this:
drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0
drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such device or address)
drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such device or address)
drmOpenDevice: Open failed

Here are some files that I've seen you ask for in other bugs.
