Bug Description
When the driver is installed and loaded (along with amdcccle package) from a clean ubuntu 9.04 beta install with just kubuntu-desktop installed gdm crashes on startup, with weird coloured lines. Uninstalling the packages makes the system fall back to radeon and it works perfectly again.
it wont let me choose fglrx-driver as a package for some reason?

Hi brendan-fridu-org,
Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
