upon reboot ot shutdown X.org hangs

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg-driver-fglrx

when restarting/rebooting/shutting KDE/GNOME session, Xorg proccess hangs and I can't killed even with kill -9, executed as root. I can only hard reboot or hit Ctrl+Alt+Del.
happen just after installing latest fglrx driver.

It's important to note, were you using KDM? If so, you might be seeing a duplicate of bug 38915. If you are using KDM, please try the fix on that bug.

it works!
i've disabled atieventsd perm. and i can again restart/shutdown normaly.
is there any penalty for disabling atieventsd?
