right-click context menus behind window

Bug Description

About once every-other week, the context menus from Chromium do not appear. This happens from left-clicking a bookmark folder in my toolbar, or right-clicking on a webpage. Nothing is displayed. If I un-maximize the window and right-click near the right edge, the menu is visible in the background. I can also see bookmark menus if they are at the extreme right of the application and hang off into the desktop background.

When in this state, a right-click on the desktop also hides behind Chromium. But it overlays Firefox. Testing this is difficult since I can't interact with menus in the normal fashion.

I "upgraded" to 13.10 and haven't had this problem since.

On a related note, when am I going to learn to refuse upgrades and just stick with fresh installs?
