Bug Description

I tried to switch drivers using jockey at some point, which failed and must have left a bit of a mess. So when i ran "sudo apt-get remove --purge fglrx fglrx_* fglrx-amdcccle* fglrx-dev* " the fglrx part failed. Running just the fglrx part again seems to have worked

It looks like bug 949641
Running this command before purging/removing fglrx packages does the trick:
sudo /usr/sbin/update-rc.d -f atieventsd remove
