sudo apt-get install fglrx-updates fails on ubuntu 12.04 after installing the trusty kernels per hwe-support-status's instructions.

Error is:

I would speculate that the fix in #1254424 applies here. I note that this is not a duplicate of that, as that was on 14.04 and this is on 12.04.
